These are a few pics from about six years ago. This was my first pack of dogs. Rosco my strike dog. Brenda, running catch, is the bob tailed gyp. She was 3/4 cur, 1/4 pit. BH is the brindle pit, she was also a running catch. And Jasper, he was 1/2 ridge back, 1/2 American pit. Not in the pic would be Jr, a big ol ybc, and Ellie a young red cur. This big boy had been seen by several of the nieghbors for several weeks. I had been missing him and catching smaller pigs in this field for a while. I decided to hunt it a little different one night. Instead of going to the gate, I turned out at a hole in the fence. Good decision. This hunt lasted all of about 10 minutes. It took us longer to get this pig out of the corn and on the trailer than it did to find and catch him. Anyways I dont know how much he wieghed but when a grabbed his leg to stick him (after taking the one picture) I couldnt wrap my hand but a little over 1/2 ways around it. What was bad is I handed the pig over to another guy (a big strong guy) to take a few more pics, and the pig started fighting and pulled him over and broke from us. My dogs let go when I had control of the pig. I cussed him for everything he was worth as we were running in the direction the pig ran in. Fortunatly he was caught again about 20 rows over. Not making that mistake again I stuck him without taking any more pics.

You better believe it. There is no bigger rush than hearing a pack of hogs running back at you not knowing what row they're in. That and it really opens up the amount of land that I have to hunt. Can't wait till grain season. Thanks to all for our posts.

The ONLY bad thing about Texas is that it is so big, I dont know where all the smaller towns are.
