Lost a good catch dog last nite he did the job for me for the past 3 years  lost him to a 300 lb boar wit no ears and bigo teeth.   One of my buddies an I decided to go huntn last nite bout midnite we took two of
my yella dogs and my catch dog.   I always run two catch dogs but just took one this time. We hunted for about two hours when we got to a cut corn feild dogs come out of the back of truck and went 980 and struck the hog. He ran only 20 yards and they ha him shut down in some tall weeds we drove 100 yards from the bay and sent snow we ran in behinds him he cought where the ear should of Ben the hog poked him threw the vest and got in his lungs the next cut was in between his cut coller and jaw bone went deep and that was it   Bulldog layn their dead and dogs still bayn we was tryn to figure out what to do so I ran back to the truck drove 15 min back to town got one of my buddies catch dogs drove back to the feild dogs still had him bayed solid I drove rite
next to the bay and walked the catch dog 5 ft from the hog and let
him go he cought rite on top of it's head and we got him flipd and tied dogs bayed this hog for an hour or so I was really pleased with blackmouths
they are both young dogs   I will try in post pics of the hog

Sorry about snow, sounds like it was rough hog, I never try to run just one catch dog. I run two at a minimum for this exact reason. RIP snow

Sorry about your cd. RIP Snow.  Glad your got that earless SOB.  That's what killed my last cd was a big ole earless boar, they really stink.  He got away and I haven't seen him since.  Sorry for your loss.  I don't know if more than one cd would have helped or not you might have more that one dead cd?  You just never know.

Yeah its hard to stop a sharp tooth from a big hog if he hits them just right. There is just too much power behind them.
