I have had a pretty nasty cold all week so when the alarm went off at early thirty this morning I was not really wanting to get up and go hunt.  Around 6:15 I met Clay, Mike, and Chris at the gas station and we headed out to our new little hunting spot as the sun was starting to add a little color to the heavy fog that had settled in over night.  As I got out of the truck I could see in my truck tracks from last week a monster hog track that we have seen several time while riding this place that we dubbed "ole four finger" since you could lay four fingers in his track and still see track on the edge of your fingers.  We made our way around this morning and it wasn't too long we had a bay going with my Chunk dog and Chris' Lizzy dog.  Since Chris and Jony and I were still at the wheelers we headed to them and Mike and Clay were to catch up since they had went on a little walk and were on thier way back to the bikes.  We made it over a hill to find the dogs barking and circling a barn which we thought was odd but soon realized why as a 150lbs hog darted out of a opening and back in so we sent in the bulldog and cought the hog but saw two more nice boars make their escape.  We tied the sow and decided we would head in the dirction the boars went which is along a creek.  (I will fast forward here a little to keep it short)  We are riding the edge of a creek that borders a cut corn field when Mike and Clay spot some hogs on the edge of the creek and decide to walk some dogs over there to check it out.  As Mike and Clay are returning to the wheelers we see a group of hogs making a 700 yard dash across the cut corn to a block of woods.  Dogs are loaded except for Birdie as we are about to make a dash overe there to dump some dogs Mike looks back and says "look, there is Birdie"  and across the field you can see her baying a nice hog but it is a LONG ways off so Mike and Clay take off on foot and Chris, Jony and myself ride across the field and try to get ahead of where we think he is heading.  We arrive in time as the hog is just now reached a grown up fence and backs up not 30yds in front of us  Shocked.  Tyson is cut loose from the bike and he is getting tossed around like a rag doll and I mean this hog is PISSED.  Then in the corner of my eye I see Clifford coming and he clobbers the hog and Jugg gets there and the hog is cought but now through the fence with his backside to us.  Chris legs one leg and I barely get the other and we hold on with everything we got till Mike and Clay get there to flip the hog.  Awesome hunt with a lot of action!!! I will let yall guess the weight, till tonight then I will post it up.  Not a bad hog for one cur dog and a few bull dogs haha.  Good times fellas  Cool !!  Hog had 2 3/4" and 3 1/8" teeth that were 2 1/2" around.  Chris is getting him shoulder mounted.

Awesome hunt it was awesome watching little birdie work that hog as he went across that field. I have also never seen a hog toss a 80 pound bulldog the way he did. Im sure it happens offten but not out in the open where i can watch it unfold. This hunt will be remembered for a long time. It was a blast Chris, Mike, Matt and Jony never a boring hunt when you have all your friends together for a hog hunt.

Toothless, you may be right about "tiny"  we are gonna have to get together when I am up there next time.  Might have to take a stab at him after deer season is over with.  But if I see any mule tracks on my place after I show you where it is at then ole Charlie will be mine j/k  Grin.

Good hog, guys!

I like the pic with the homeowners.  The two fingers she has on the ear is priceless!  You guys keep that up, and they're going to start cancelling tee-times and tennis to come along!  What a great, positive showing of the sport you all are representing!
