Damn shame for Patches to go out like that, wish it would have been a natural death.  Sorry to hear about him and your other dogs. There is a special place for people who poison dogs! Angry

Here is a picture of the first hog Patches caught for us. Patches is the catahoula on the rack.

Sorry to hear about all the dogs.

Several of us knew Patches, and he will be missed.

How do they know it was Antifreeze?

It is a felony to do that.....4 counts at that......I'd do everything in my power to find out who did it and get them put behind bars......bet they would think twice when Brutus was having his way with them in an 8X10....

Patches was a a small dog with a huge heart. If he did have a disability, nobody ever told him about it. He did more on three legs than we wish some of our four legged dogs could do. He loved to hunt and gave it his all every time he hit the woods. Despite his limitations, he would hunt out with the rest of them, and if there was ever a dog that could be counted on to be there when you or another dog needed him, it was Patches. There was never any bickering or arguing while hunting because he would just ignore other dogs' threats. It seemed like he was always either nose to the ground or head up listening for another dog's request for help. Whether he found swine himself or was helping out, you could count on him to lay teeth on a backside if needed and he was always caught with the bulldogs. He has been one of my favorite hog dogs in terms of his desire to hunt, willingness to help, and his love for a "good boy" and a pat on the head. I'll miss him always, and I'm glad he got to step up and be #1 before he left for better hunting grounds. God must have a heck of a hog problem up there to need a dog like Patches.

That's about the lowest thing ever. I hope the scum who did that gets jail time. That's no way for a hunting dog to die.

You made me what I am today, courage at its best. You wanted me to know no fear, a cut above the rest. Not only have I mastered that, I've thrown in loyalty too. Look past my eyes into my soul, you know I'd die for you. I'll watch your kids, I'll watch your house,Your praise will be my crown.Ask what you will, I'll do my best, I'll never let you down.but oneday ill have to leav you and go very far away. untill then ill be by your side on my chane or at the bay.

RIP Patches

ahh my boy patches... the day we went to pick him up i fell in love with him. he had the most amazing eyes i had ever seen. he always favored casey over me but i didnt care i still loved him. and ya know i never really noticed that he had a bum leg while he hunted, he was an amazing hog dog dispite his disabilities. but its because he had alot of heart.. more than i even do. im glad that we ended up with him. he was the first dog i hunted with!! and i will miss him so much. im gonna miss my baby june though.  she was MY dog and was the cutest thing ever! i'd never seen such a cool mask on a dog. i will always love you june.  Smiley  and jhonny.. my cash.. he was so sweet. he made me and all my guys wicked happy for the very short time he was with us. and last but deff. not least.. junior. he'll be very missed.. he was an amazing pup. and him and bella made a heck of a team. they were just puppies but they knew what they were doing..  :'(

i will miss all four of these dogs.. they were like my babies  Smiley.. and i loved them so much.

and the a$$h*!e$ who did this make me sick.. why would someone do that to a dog? four dogs! it really upsets me that someone would go so low to poisen helpless dogs. but.. im not letting it go and i will find out who did this.

Once you do catch him, I'd like to start a mainline drip of antifreeze on him. It would be great practice for me hitting veins AND revenge all in one sweet little package. Who says they don't make GREEN lactated ringers?
