i have two pups that i have started in the pen and they are working pretty good. they are both going on a year and i started them when they were 8 monts old but didnt show much interest till they were 10 months... im thinking of crossing there mom with a plot i have.. the dad to thes pups will wind a hog and go right to him... took him out the other day and he found a hog for me and had it bayed in less than 10 min.. im just using him for a stud dog now to breed to the rr jyp i have. they bring good money for just yard dogs also.. i think this breed is like all others it what u put in to them that makes them.. jmo.

I have one full rr that is solid catch. Took a while for him to turn on but when he did it was on like donkey kong. I have 2 half rr half mtn cur going to turn one year in a couple days. They are intense bayers and pretty gritty. Also have two pups from above post rr/dogo mine are catching at about 7 months show they are going to be good. I like my full rr but REALLY like my crossed rrs. My dad had a rr lacy cross that was a heck of a dog maybe one of the better wind dogs I have seen just had a aggressive streak and had to be put down. I plan on breeding my rr again

One of the best dogs I ever had was a Ridgeback bulldog cross. He started as a strickly catch dog. When I sold him he would find his own. He was big enough to hold em by himself. Awsome dogs. I wish they didn't cost so much, I would have more of them.

From hunting in all types of climate and land structure the full blooded Ridgeback we own is the best we've ran. I just recently made a Pit/Ridgeback cross. It looks like its going to work but putting the pit in the blood defeats the purpose of a Ridgeback, Ridgebacks have speed, body and bone structure, the skin is tuff and heat resistant. The pups are 5 months old now and have no fear. Looking to breed my full blooded Ridgeback to a female if anybody is interested. I would only ask for half of the litter. My male is half African stock/U.S.
