Hey guys i was wondering the other day after i was giuding some hunts on the King Ranch if it possible to make a pack of Nilgai dogs! For those of u that dont know what they are, they are in the antelope family, come from India, but are very big and tough animals, they have alot of run to them. I was just wondering on what type of dog i should try, i dont want to catchem just bayem till the hunter shoots them, i bet it would be fun to hunt them. Well let me know what yall think

good luck with that Grin

they dont call them devil horse for no reason. i use to go to a ranch in mountain home right by the y.o. and saw one kill two tracking dogs. the dogs handler told us that he would have known there were alot of nilgai there he wouldnt have took that tracking job. his dogs were stompped to death in seconds,

I heard they are pretty mean when cornered.  Actually turn on the guys on horseback trying to push them to another pen.  Good luck with that.

I guess anything is possible, if I had to guess @ a dog I'd say some very well worked mature cow dogs and re-learn them

Also I went to school with a guy who's dad got killed by one while blood tracking it through brush,      the lord put them things in a land of vegetarians for a reason!

I was kinda thinking of cow dogs also, and there not that bad i've hunted them for about 10 years now, done alot of tracking wounded ones, and right now my buddy has a dog that will track a wounded one and catch him by himself i'll try to get a pic of the dog hanging from a bulls neck, i've just seen alot of them over the years get poorly shot and thought this would be a good chance to pick the trophies out
