You handled it perfectly... :)I know exactly how you felt when you said helpless and violated. I felt that way when my 4x4 4wheeler was stolen and the cops acted like it was no big deal.
Yup, it really pisses me off when cops don't care about a crime after the heated lecture when getting a ticket! They don't mind writing tickets but to respond to a crime is an inconvenience.

I will take an a** chewing "or" a ticket but I refuse to take an a** chewing "and" a ticket! Some have tried and it didn't work out to good for them.  Wink
