...not a deer but a nice boar! I promised my Dad about four months ago that I would take fella hunting with dogs this morning. Jim is from Pennsylvania and was in town for the past few days on buisiness. So me, Dad, Jim and my Buddy Harry met this morning at daylight at one of our "city" properties... away from all the deer hunters! My Blue dog took a track out into a 220 acre swamp area and worked it for about 45 minutes until he finally lined it out and ended up crossing back out into the woods... thankfully! That swamp is not a good place to catch one in. We tracked to him and got closer when Cheyenne and Birdie heard him baying and headed his way. Drove to within a 100 yards or so and they were all three bayed solid. Harry and I eased in with Clifford and his catch dog BB and sent them in. Everything caught and we each grabbed a leg. I looked at Jim and said "come stick him!" Jim was in a little bit of shock and said" uh..uh..i'd rather not!" LOL! The boar went 242# on the scale and had some nice teeth on him. Dad and Jim had a blast and Jim has a good story to tell everyone up North. Me and Dad Harry Dad and Jim

Dang mike what happen kill all the shoats? Seems like you got to catch 50 shoats before you get a big boar off that place!

Very good hog guys!!! I sure wish I could have seen that big sucker on the hoof, a real trophy and what a way to show a newby what the sport has to offer. Glad ol BB and Clifford could shut that big sucker down before he could do any serious damage. Matt
