If anything I would drain it (either lance it or use a needle) but it will probably reabsorb after a few days...I wouldnt bother with any meds if he were mine.

I think I would feel of it and see if it was hard or soft. Then if it felt soft and lime a water baloon I would stick a needle into it and make sure it was just clear r only slightly bloody fluidy like would be seen from a contusion. If was really bloody I would take the dog to the vet and would NOT open it up without hauling him to the vet. I agree that most times it will harden and the body will absorb it. I have seen similar area where a hog has bitten a dog before. Hope he gets well soon for you. Matt

I know its a really bad pic, the dog started to sit when i took it. Its more like loose skin, not hard or soft almost like a bitch after havin pups has a loose stomach, but its only on one side.

Had a bull dog with a lump like that I bit the bullet and took him to the vet around day 3 or so vet told me there was an broken tooth or an object object lodged in there and was causing infection he didn't lance it or drain it gave me antibiotics and it was gone in two or three days but I'm not lanceing or draining it wouldn't have done just as good?
