I have picked up two running dogs in the last few months. I have been pretty busy working and finally today got a chance to let them stretch their legs and get to run to a couple of small pigs. I have a dark straight Stag, Stormy, and a white one that is 1/2 Stag, 1/4 Dogo, 1/4 AB, his name is Curly and he was bred by Cody Weiser. Curly has been on a few hogs but Stormy is just getting started. They both did a great job and are now ready to move up to some bigger pigs. The speed is amazing, I am hoping to use them during the day in crop ground and open pastures. Hogs and coyotes both is the goal.

Thanks,
Paul T

Jordon, he came from over around Albany, he was yours as a young dog I believe. He has made a very nice dog, we will just have to see how he handles the big stuff.

yeah, i sold him to a guy name Jared over around Bridge City a good while back.  he was around 14 months when i had him.  he'd only take down rabbits and the like when i had him.  i put him on one hog when i hunted with your buddy in yorktown.  he was still pretty skiddish about the whole deal then.  but he started turning on after Jared had him for a while.  he's damn quick.  first time he ever realized he had another gear, he was running with the dane i had and a rabbit jumped out of the yaupon and he took off after it.  hope he turns out well.  hadn't heard from Jared in a while so i was wondering how Curly was.

Nice pics. Speed Kills!! hopefully they progress fast for you. Josh told me about you getting them a while back while talking about my dogo he's hunting.

Looks like you got them with some age already, thats a plus for the slow maturing hairy dogs!

Good looking dogs... hope they stop lots of big hogs for you and catch all the coyotes every time you get a chance to put them on one. Smiley

One of them should be named Ricky Bobby because everytime I look at those pics I see one of those dogs saying "I wanna go fast!"  Grin

Man they look fast for sure... I bet it will be tons of fun watching them run those suckers down in an open field. It will be a sweet deal to get such versatility game-wise with your stags!

Funny you should say that cause that's what I named the dog..... Jared named him "Curly".
