I am trust trying to find out how dogs that are all geared up die!
I run a vest that had 2 layers of a real good weave of kevlar a layer of viper cloth and two layers of 1,000 denir condura with polyfelt in the chest plate witha kevlar collar and chin pieace and leg flaps
I also run a 4 layer kevlar vest with 2 layers of condura that also comes with a collar and chin pieace and leg flaps and they both cover from the rump of the dog to the head!
HOW THE HELL CAN A DOG DIE WHILE WEARING THAT!
(ONE OF THE MANUFACTURS CLAIMS THE VEST IS 100% CUTTER PROOF!!!!!!!)

Saw one get his urethra cut and maybe some more stuff in that area, cant remember now.  Messed up his whizing ability and despite multiple vet visits it died.

Dog takes a hard hit and internal organs are ruptured.

Tusk goes underneath the leg flaps and up into the chest.

Dog gets gutted behind the vest.

Plus everything pig snatcher said.

Just because a dog has a vest on doesn't mean it can't be killed.

If you are wearing a Kevlar jacket with plates and a Kevlar helmet how can you die? Now do you want to go into combat without them? Well depending on the situation you may or may not want it on. If you covered the dog from head to toe they would be safe from a hog or just leave them at home. It is a dangerous sport and only for those that truly want to do it. That is for people and dogs. That is why I never force a dog to hunt. That way if something happens I know the dog was doing what the dog wanted to do. I hate burying a dog that got hit by a car, killed by a dumped dog, died of a stupid disease, ... Like I said I have only lost dogs to non-hunting stuff. Life is dangerous and nothing will change it so it should just be embraced.

Like they say with our vests, "bullet resistant not bullet proof".  Cut vests are the same way, resistant not proof

I've never found a vest that could make it more than 6 months or so without a major cut thru.  I run vest from multiple makers that us several layers of kevlar (2-4 layers), or wet felt, and combos of the two.  All have been cut thru multiple times.  Its just insurance, its not a guarantee.
