I have been ask to come remove some hogs out of a high fence! Now listen to this the man raiseing white tail and has had hogs on this place for 12 years now he wants them all gone I ask why he said because of hog doggers they want stay off my property I am not there during the week and I have a gamewarden watching it but he is only one man! He said they were cutting the fence so he quit locking the gate but they leave his gate open he said that all his taggeg bucks are still in the pen! He has caught 3 different sets of dogs in his place all three had diffent Names on the collars never killed any of the dogs he called the boys and they came and got them saying the dogs must have run under the fence! He checks his fence once a week and there were no wholes in the fence! He talk to a local guy and the guy told him that the only way to stopp them boys from hunting in there was to build a house and move there or get all the hogs out! He is trying to get me names of the boys from the gamewarden he gave them to him!! The gamewarden told him the he knew one of the names and the man was trouble! He likes the hogs and wants to have a few left so after we clean them out then the only hogs that will be left are going to be big hogs with good teeth and no ears! He said that he has found several hogs that were chewed up but none dead the local guy said he thought that they were just going in there to work there dogs! But it is his place and he has a bad taste in his mouth about dog hunters! I told him we are not all the same some good some bad!

Good to hear you stepping in to help smooth over this mans view on hog doggers. And good luck with those hogs. Chances are they will run run run.....as bad or worse than any free range hogs. I'll bet those outlaws have them some kind of ruint and spoiled.

Chance I cant think of any body any better to help deal with this sort of thing than you. But It is a dang shame that some people dont care what or how they do it just so long as they get to do things their way, and not the right way to do things. I dont blame the man one little bit for being down on hog doggers if than kind of thing is going on with his property.

Well the good thing about a game fence is they have to stopp some where there are enough dogs around here I can fresh pack them for a week!LOL
Mr. Ronnie I just don't understand Why this guy is a nice guy and if they would have ask I bet he would have worked something out so they could help him remove some small hogs out of there! But what topped it off was when the 3 set of dogs were bouncing deer off his fence! He thinks the boys were on the property everytime he caught the dogs but slipped out when they herd him in there! The footracks were fresh!
He also has there dogs on game came about once a month but they are smart enough to stay out of the picutes!

People like that are not going to be the ones that will care on the sport of hog doggin because they will be found out sooner or later. Besides they dont have good enough sence to be able to raise or train good dogs with out doing it at the expince of someone else. Im getting mad and upset just talking about it!!!

From what little experience I have with penned hogs I would be more worried about them knowing where to lay up and hide rather than running haha. They will know every wind row out there and every briar patch and when they get tired or running they will hit the deck and lose the dogs. It will be fun for a while though!

another X2!!! Mr Ronnie you keep beating me to the punch! Its always the few like these guys that screw it up for the honest folks! Im am sure this guy has voiced his opinion of hog hunters to all of his rancher buddies and so forth! Thanks for being a good rep Chance! With wankers like this running around, decent and responsible hog hunters need all the help they can get! |

I can't stand people like that. We all work so hard to prove ourselves honest and trustworthy to these land owners and then idiots like that ruin it for everyone. Our main hunting spot has been hit by so many crooks that i cant believe that the land owner still lets a few of us continue to hunt. Someone just came onto the place a few weeks ago and stole all the copper wire from all of the pumps out there. I can tell you, the land owner is supper fired up about that and i dont blame him. Chance, thanks for being a good representetive for hogdoggers. This sport needs all the help it can get when it comes to reputation.
