One of my dogs has pus pockets all over his belly and even some on his sides in the hair. I have never seen this before and have no idea what it could be. He isn't acting like himself and is limping pretty bad but i think he's limping cause he got hit real hard by a big barr hog 2 nights ago. Any advice is appriciated.

For some odd reason my dogs had the same problem I just put sulfodene oinment and some antiseptic spray after I popped them.  It sounds a little messy but it worked for me good luck.  Not sure what the cause was.  Try this site see if it helps.

He could have ran through a briar patch and have thorns broken off all in him... that happens to my dogs quit a bit.

that very well could be it. did they all pus up when it happens to your dogs? and what did you do for it?

The first thing i though was fire ants but some of the pus pockets are the size of a dime. I've never seen a ant bite that big.

Yes, they fester up, pop, scab over and go away on their own... it happens a lot.
