Maybe hydrotheraphy, but I would stick with the cephalexin.

Here is some useful info..

if you gave it to them for the first 3 days after they got hurt they are probably okay now unless they still show signs of infection to their wounds. if its infected keep giving the antibotics otherwise spray it out with the hose for 10 mins at a time at least once a day or give it some cut heal you can buy it at the feed store.

if you need a cheap antibotic you also can order this stuff called fish flex forte, you can get 500mg pills and it is the same thing as cephalexin.

just do a search for fish flex forte on this site and you will see a bunch of threads about it.

I bought mine from amazon.com but you can get them anywhere online or at an aquarium store but the cheapest is onlline. but if your dog is in bad shape now and you cant wait for shipping, go to the feed store and get a bottle of injectible penicillin and I give my dog 1cc for every 25-30 lbs I think. once a day everyday for the first 3 days. after that I only give it if I see signs of infection ie. swelling w/ pus fluid.

good luck with your dogs man.

try Vetericyn seems to work well as long as the dog can't just lick it off. You can even use it in their eyes

Vetericyn is expensive but you know where your money went by how well is works.  The combo of hydrotherapy, betadine, and vetericyn works wonders on deep cuts and pokes.  Can't remember the last time I need antibiotics for a cut or poke.

I use SMZ's, get them from my vet ,he's tired of seeing me eanyway.  The Vettrecin works well on cuts you can't staple or seiw up.

I very seldom use antibiotics. Spray Cut Heal 2 to 3 times a day. 2 times is ok but 3 times a day until cut fills in is better.

the vetricin works wonders and you can even spray in and around their eyes. works best if they can't lick it. hydro works as well.
