the blue ring necked dog is mine. he's the "whoa maker" the red spotted gyp is my Dad's.  the solid red dog, and blue/white spotted dogs are Gerald's.  Gerald said this little bull treed Craig on the top corner of a chain link dog pen earlier this morning.  they said he climbed the chain link like a gray squirrel. i wasn't there yet so i didn't see it. you'll have to ask him about it. Haha the first thing that popped in my head when I saw these pics was "I bet that is one of Gerald's bulls". Glad y'all got him in the trailer finally, I would hate for Craig for have shimmy like a squirrel again Smiley. Maybe y'all can dub his horns while y'all have him caught...for Craigs sake haha

that's all they were doin in the first place. had him in the squeeze chute gonna tip his horns, already had flank ropes on his head to tie it to the sides, and somehow the side gate latch got tripped and out he came. they said Gerald and his son Casey were both tryin to climb the same panel from opposite sides, but it was a loose panel just leaned up against a tree and it was fallin with em as they were climbin it. Craig clumb the dog pen. Geral called and me and Dad ran down there with our dogs. Gerald wound up ropin him out of the back of my pickup with a rope tied off to the hay spear. and when we got him back in the pens, we did tip him.

Craig and Gerald are one dangerous duo. Seems there is never a dull moment with those two.

the solid red dog or spotted dog?

the solid red dog is blackmouth cross i think out of some of Craig's dogs back down the line somewhere. the spotted gyp we raised out of a line of leopard dogs i've had a long time. they had a little hound, little blackmouth, little ridgeback back a ways but the outcrosses have been bred down to almost none now. not out of any registered dogs, just dogs we used and liked.

oh and yea, young bull. mexican fightin bull/buckin stock cross, they said. wasn't very big, but plenty bad !

Me and another guy roped a mexican fighting bull one time. That was the quickest bull I've ever seen. The guy I was with roped him behind his horse while being chased and he was sure happy that I got another rope on him before it got too interesting! We had to tie his head down in a half top trailer to keep him from jumping out.

That's some working dogs.... At first I thought someone missed a dally. I have seen one time in my life where roping out of the truck worked and the target was a little smaller, LOL....

i just stopped by to watch and ended up on top of a chain link dog kennel,,  when that side gate busted open everyone was standing around bs'ing and that little bull sent everyone running, lucky for me he went after Gerald and his crew first, funny thing was they all ran into the same corner lol  them guys looked like a bunch of monkeys climbing up on anything they could find. ole Hot Tamale was throwing stuff everywhere.   when he came my way the only thing i could think of was this bull is gona tear this kennel down trying to get to me, its true i was like a squirrel on a wire , i went all the way around the top of that pen . Hot Tamale went for the brush and in all the comotion one of the other bulls jumped the pens and went with him..

and this was just the begining of our day,  shortly after this i was at the ranch welding and started a grass fire, yeh  4 -fire dept's. , forestry with their dozer, it was a bad deal.

the bull catching went on hold till we got the fire under control.  i must say Luke is a hand on that fire hose.

while i was welding, Gerald and Luke, tore the brake line off of Lukes truck and put some cool horn marks down the sides.  it was well after dark before the last bull was back home.

Luke,,Thanks again for the help with the fire .
