We met up this morning about 7am to hunt a place we havent been to since Sept and luckily the weather and the hogs cooperated.  We made our usual round and finally got a group bayed and stayed in hogs for about an hour and decided to quite while we were ahead.  Great hunt today and it sure was nice riding right up in the bay and getting some pictures.  Ended up with four hogs on the day, one killed, two tied and one that accidently got away  Embarrassed and I mean a true accident, the hog ran under my horses nose and through the legs of Chris' horse haha.

I haven't done it as much as I would like but since it is nice and dry around here an you don't have to worry about marring up to your arse everywhere. There is nothing like it though. Ride and talk and you can hear everything happening as it happens and we rode right up to the bay and then right up to the catch. Broke horses are highly recommended.  Grin

I know what you mean about the broke horses, I was riding what i considered a broke mare one day, riding along at a pretty good speed, and all of a sudden she started side steppin, brakin, just plain boogerin bad. Im tryin to figure out whats goin on stay in the saddle too. lol  Come to find out there were a bunch of tame hogs in a fence, that i couldnt see, for some bushes, but she dang sure knew they were there.

Most horses i have been around, booger bad at the sight or smell of a hog, let alone a bunch of dogs barkin, and pigs squilin.
