Gumswamp and I decided to take the boys huntin' with us Saturday. We cut the dogs loose and they split to start with, my male dog Graham was bayed the closest to us so we decided to go to him first. He had about 6 or 8 hogs bayed, sent the CDs in and caught a small sow about 125 lbs. My son got the honors of stickin' the first and his first hog...

Graham rolled out after the rest and while he was huntin' down we decided to go to Gumswamp's 2 males which were bayed 1.48 miles away. We got to the bay and cut the CDs loose and it was so thick the hogs must have herd the CDs coming and broke before they got there. The 2 males rolled out with the hogs and while they were trying to get them to stop again we went back to check my male. We got back to Graham and he was bayed, 100 lb sow...

Gumswamp's 2 males were now 3.48 miles away and bayed. Gumswamp went after the dogs while me and the boys retrieved some hogs...

We got back to Gumswamp and he had the prize hog...

A few more snap shots and we were done for the day...

Not the first time I've had to go up a tree but it was the first time a  hog has seemed to have a pick on me. Round and round that thicket the red devil ran me after I shot him. I jumped up a tree he ran by when I dropped back down the darn thing turn right back around and I guess I did not jump as high the second time. He hooked the crease in my jeans at the knee when I folded my legs up. Missed the hide but rip the jeans. Bay dog crabbed him by the nuts he backed off about 10 yards and fell over dead. A bad shot will most likely cost you a good pair of jeans. ;0

Glad to see that the boy is taking to hog hunting.  Hope that he sticks with it.  Sounds like you and Gumswamp were in them on Saturday.  Nice hogs.
