Bobby Walker and my husband Raider54 are friends as a result of ETHD. Bobby envited me down to a management hunt for the African Horned Orax. I am strictly a bow hunter and gladly accepted his invitation. We were going to hog hunt as well but my main objective was to try and take this beautiful animal with my Bow. After delivering our last Bullgo pup to Mex in Beaumont, TX we headed west to Kerrville, TX for my Orax hunt. We literaly drove all day and when we got to San Antonio we saw a sign that said we were still 570 from El Paso..... Shocked TX is a Big State!  Shortly after arriving at the ranch Bobby took us around the ranch looking at animals. I was fortunate enough to take 7 coons off the feeders and saw TONS of deer, we also saw about 20 hogs. Bobby said dont tell Jesse Paul but we were pretty sure we saw a mountain lion Shocked...lol  The next day we set out to find the Orax heards on the ranch, Bobby wanted to take a young adult bull out of the heard. After about an hour we found them and began to stalk in to within bow range. At first it looked like it was going to be an easy endeavor but I soon realized this was going to be more difficult than I thought. The Orax didnt seem to mind us being 30 to 50 yards from them but didnt want us much closer. I had been shooting all morning at 40 yards and was very confident at that range with an average 3 to 4 inch group. I found the biggest challange was getting the Bull selected away from the heard for a clean shot. Just when I believed this wasnt going to happen that bull walked out away from the heard to within 30 yards at a steep quatering away angle and I took the shot. The shot struck the bull perfectly in the gut angled toward the off side front leg and penetrated up to the fletching. I thought it was a bad shot and I think Bobby might have thought so to but my husband said it was perfect to just watch the bull. I only shoot 45# on my Bowtech Tribute but I knew that Rage BroadHead would cut a large hole. Paul was right the bull went about 20 yds and laid down.  The heard kept rallying around the bull knowing something was wrong and caused him to get back up. When I saw him getting back up I put another arrow in him at about 35 to 40 yards and this time it went thru his heart and he went down to stay. I was so happy and very thankful to Bobby and his wife Shannon for allowing my husband and I down for the hunt and fellowship. All this because two hoghunters met on ETHD and became friends. Thank you Bobby and thank you ETHD.  Laurie Grin

Lol......Thats what Chuck Adams said on the commercial..."Its like throwing an Axe thru an animal"
they shoot very well to. I have been shooting them for about 4 years now. She normaly shoots Magnus cut on contact broadheads, this was the first time she ever shot an animal with them

Caleb said you guys caught 3 Boars Saturday but I havent seen the pics or a post yet?Huh??? Huh?

Alan posted a pic of them in the trailer. Sadie took a good pic of the smallest one, and i think Caleb took a few and some videos. Ive been waiting for them to post them on Facebook so i can save them and post them on here.. We caught the 2 smaller ones 15 minutes into the hunt, and caught both within about 30 seconds of each other! Thanks to that " German Shepard"  Wink  Grin

Yes, I suppose so but the long wait for a clear shot gave me time to settle myself. I was mainly concentrating on making a good shot. I didnt want to embarass myself or do any injustice to this beautiful animal.
