Just wanted to introduce myself and thank nogalus boys for telling me about the site. I live in Illinois and have been hunting deer, rabbit, coon my whole life. For hunters up this way it is very tough finding game. We have a very short deer season and not enough public property. To be honest I just got sick and tired of fighting for deer permits in my own state than being charged non-res. rates to hunt in the boardring states
of IA WI, and IN.  So I started looking into hog hunting and found out the season was pretty wide open. The only thing is not many hogs this way if any. I got myself some Dogo Argentino catch dogs that i've been working around Mississippi. Things are going good so far, just need to find more places to hunt. My dogs stlll green but there eager to work.  Looking forward to learning from you guys. First how to post my dog photos.
Thx

No problem about the thick skin and my Dogos just have a thing for them. I'm in Chicago so that's about 5 hrs from St Loius. There were some rumors that hogs were spotted in southern Illinois.

Kevin is a Dogo Guy dont let him fool ya....lol
There are hogs in Indiana in the Hoosier National Forrest and Im sure you can find some in MO. I just got a call from a guy in Pike Co. Ill. yesterday about comming to Oh. and catching hogs for the Ohio Dpt. of Fish and Wildlife. It shouldnt be long before you guys will be covered up in hogs. Until then you will just have to take vacation in TX.   Welcome to ETHD

You have to get a Photobucket accnt. to resize your photos then you can post them here

Welcome and jump right in....will enjoy hearing about your hunts. I understand about the shortage of hogs....it's pretty bad here in north Alabama right now.
