Removed the link to a web site and here it is. This is what knightstockterrier  wrote minus the web link.

"I would love to hear about anybody who likes Rat Terriers, I have over 45 years with them and since losing use of my right leg I been moving my  squirrel/coon/bobcat training tube and hog round pen and trapping stuff up here to the house to have something to do in rehab.  I am looking for a treeing strain of Rat Terrier especially any red and white or solid red Rat terrier who can tree its own game to breed a few more up with.  At one time I ran over 30 of these dogs on anything moving on our ranch, we got coons, slicktails, grey fox, reing tail cat, lion, bobcat, javelina and wild hog, cattle, horses baggers, armadillos, aligator gar in shallow creek ponds, turtles etc etc, we used to have one of 2 that would retreive ducks, turkeys and morning dove.  They were always digging up rat dens and killing rattlers who came into the kennel area to try to get into the self feeders to catch rats at nite.  Many a illegal alien has been treed by these dogs when they came up to the bunkhouse at night or during the day looking for a ride. Lots of people know these dogs as feist, as fox terriers, as squirrel dogs, at one time they were on about every ranch or farm house in my area, as people quit this lifestyle and moved to town the treeing varmit killing dead gamey type dog has not been bred by many.  Most have no idea what a treeing strain is about, where to buy them or how to breed for them.  I got tired of all of the bookwriters and registration clubs telling me how to breed the dogs and allowing the non treeing dogs to be registered so i quit papering them and just pleased my selflol   The USDR was as close to what was needed to save these dogs from runiation by the pupy millers and show dog crowd out in California and Oregon, Randal Parks, had a untimely and early death and was dedicated to publishing the true history of the Treeing Rat Terrier that used to be common in Texas Arksansas, Oklahoma and the eastern hardwood state with large numbers of rural squirrel hunting rat terrier strains.  I do not sell dogs or trade them.  I am trying to get ready to go to a bench show and treeing contest for squirrel dogs somewhere out of stte since texas has no such competition."
