I think Riddick must be short for Riddickulous.
That's how I feel about this whole "television series".
If your going to go on national television proclaiming to be "professionals", you should at least act like you've done it before. The wife's reaction to her baby's "injury" just about did me in.

OK. i like to shine a positive "light" on everything said and done about my favorite hobby so hear goes. I think Riddick did a good job holding a good size pig for a good amount of time. that's my positive light. As for the show i put a negative light on the footage used by DC. I was worried about this from day one and i am sure there was plenty of good things to show other then what was shown for all three companies. I like Josh and the other guys seem like good hearted people, but i would say that last night show was not good for anybody. Riddick is better then the show made him out to be, but whats done is done. Here is my lesson for the day. I try not to say anything good about my dogs. We catch a lot of pigs. Caught 5 this weekend in 2 hours of hunting, but if there is one thing i have learned, your dogs can always make a liar out of you no matter how good they are, and from what i can tell T.V. can make things look not so good as well. I hope for all of the companies envolved that it gets better. And for all of you that only have negative things to say i hope your dogs never disappoint you when you really don't want them too. Its a game and we don't always win or there woudn't be pigs around. I can say that my dogs would have never stopped at that fence but that's probably why i can't hunt there.
You are right. If I have learned one thing over the years its to never, NEVER brag on your dogs or your horses. LOL My dogs have made me look like a jackass a few times. But as for Mr. tv producer...if they filmed hours and hours of footage of me and my dogs hunting and then aired the footage that only showed me or my dogs screw ups!....Someone would have some knots on their head!  Im just sayin... |

My whole problem with the show is L3 knows just like the rest of us that this was going to make hog hunters look bad no matter how tame it was,the simple fact is that he is probably getting a good paycheck from Discovery and probably many ranchers that dont know a thing about hog removal will hire the guy.So in reality what he did was sold all hogdoggers out so he could get his company and name out there to make some bucks.You people that keep calling Josh your friend he sold you out too plain and simple.It could have been worse though, Josh could have used some real hog dogs and then the public would have really gone nuts.

whew i went and read the blogs on DC and i am going to say that i can only be so nice and so helpfull for people that need it up to an extent, but man this is going to be not so good. people already wrighting there congressman and stuff. oh man oh man oh man. i have all of you guys back to the end no matter what but im going to stay away from this topic for now. sorry if i made anyone hate me. ya'll are a tough crowd.
i still say the bad that comes from it is not really the companies themselves, i think it's more the presentation then anything. Whats being shown is what is killing it.

Okay, Here is the deal Folks, lets keep the comments to discussing the show itself, and not turn it all personal against any one individual.
I feel both sides of this discussion from a personal level. Hogs Gone Wild has seven more Shows, meaning Seven more Sunday nights of these comments turning into 8-10 pages of comments for the moderators to have to try and police.
I as an indiviual feel that yes the guy is putting himself in the spotlight to be criticized, by the whole world, the same as any politician or TV personality. The Moderator side of me says we can't have this website endorsing behavior of constantly ragging on an individual, we don't allow names to be mentioned on deals gone bad in public, or calling anyone out, or confrontation done in anything less than a respectfull manner.
Personal side again, the lowest form of an insult to me would be to insult my dogs, even the crappy ones, So I say don't be talking about the dogs by name.
HERE IS THE FINAL WORD, FOR THE NEXT SEVEN WEEKS
KEEP THE POSTS CLEAN, TALK ABOUT THE SHOW, KEEP THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE CHARACTERS TO A RESPECTABLE LEVEL, WE DONT WANT TO BE HERE UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT EVERY SUNDAY CLEANING UP POSTS.

I feel asleep before last nights show but I recorded it and can't wait to see it when I get home.
Here's the question I keep asking myself.....I know its one out hunting but why not send another dog to it for help or at least before you try to leg it? I guess I keep thinking about last wks show and watching that dogo just freaking quit.....it could have gotten bad with L3 flat on his back kicking at a charging boar. Last time I checked you don't get cool points for only catching it with one.

They are promtoing this L3 outdoors as the best of the best, well I sure do hope that at least some of the people,mainly farmers and landowners and other hunters, don't come away thinking that ALL Hog hunters and thier dogs are as INEFFECTIVE and ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS as the clowns on this show..
I can only imagine how the general public will percieve all us "just average" hog hunters after watching these "professionals"... Makes me sick to my stomach...
