Here's better info on it,,It's nothing new I think there are more new hunters to the state of Texas and they want everyone to know the risk, and think about it if you start feeling some of the symptoms after handling/dressing/or home prossessing wild game...

Back in 1985 my deceased brother and my cousin Pat caught a huge red sow down at the White ranch at Woodsbors before it was chopped all up, they drug it back to the house and nutchered it in the garage about 2 am when they finally got home.  Next morning at 9am brother could not get out of bed and was solid dripping shivvering and sweating soaking the bed, took hm to hosp,  he had undunant fever from a cut on his hand where the hog blood got into his system,  2 days in hops about $4000 in tests,my cousin Pat also got a lil touch of it as well but not as bad.  I went out to the cooler about a week later and showed the hog to the Texas Brucelloius guy when they still had a yard shop in Beeville, he found several turmors inside the sows sides that they did not see at night, he took the hog with him for testing, I can not remeber what undulant fever is in laymans terms anymore, but ths was during a huge long drought and we had mangeyl licey sorry thin hogs everywhere dying from too many tusks and too little acrons.  Is rabit fever the same as undualnt fever???  I been scared of something breaking out in them ever since, and now we got so darn many everywhere omg one of these days!!!!!  We need to get more hog doggers and pay them a bounty and relax treapass laws so they can wipe them out some.
