LSWDA Photo Contest

•   Beginning February 1, 2011 and running through September 30, 2011, LSWDA will be conducting a photo contest. Anyone, member or non-member, can submit photos of their dogs at work for a 2012 LSWDA Working Dog calendar.
•   All photos submitted will be judged during the month of October and winners will be announced November 1, 2011.
•   There will be 12 winning photos that will be placed in a 2012 LSWDA Working Dog Calendar to be offered for sale to the general public beginning December 1, 2011.
•   The 12 winners of this contest will receive 1 year’s membership into LSWDA free, a free 2012 LSWDA Working Dog Calendar, and other prizes yet to be determined.
•   If you wish to enter this contest, please send us your photos in the highest resolution possible as this is needed for printing purposes. You may send them thru our “upload photo” button on the main page of the website or email them to me at jolynne1965@yahoo.com Please include a note of “permission to use” with your photo

Some of the photos I would like to enter are marked and dated (copyrighted). Is it okay to submit them signed and dated with written permission to reproduce them, or do the photos need to be unmarked?

Are you talking about professionally done photos or some taken by a novice/hobby photographer that copyright their photos? 
We would like to recieve photos that capture the essence of the job(s) of the working dog in the picture that is owned by the person submitting the photo, whether it was taken by themselves or professionally.  If it is a professionally taken picture with the photographer's copyright mark on it, permission to print or use will need to be given by the photographer.  Just to cover LSWDA's right to print and distribute.

There is no limit on the number of pics per person.

I have 31 photo submissions as of today.  Just recd some from Florida this morning.
