Here's a random thought for yall....

Mosh Pitts....  One of my many quirks... I like's me a good mosh pitt....  Grin

Any of yall whipper snappers ever experienced a proper one ?? ?? ??   Grin

Been in some real good one's(and some nasty one's Wink)in my day....

For those of you that don't know what one is... It's typically a hard-rock-n-roll concert that fuels a typically "agressive/testosterone-infused... YET PLAYFULL  Grin" atmosphere....  While the band plays, a circle or "pitt" developes as the music builds to the "intense" parts Wink  Those that choose to be in the pit, "share their enthusiam" with each other by "bouncing off each other like one of those ping-pong ball lottery blowers"....  Grin

The key is... you can be as agressive as the pitt allows... arms down(with the lights on  Wink) .... help your fellow mosh-pitter up when he/SHE(yes there are some RANK girl mosh-heads) get's put down.. and take any doosh-bag out that don't follow the "rules"  Grin

Ahhh... good times... hard to understand untill you've experienced it... trust me  Wink Grin

LOL...Noah our son goes to metal concerts all the time and as soon as he wakes up the next morning he cant wait to tell me all about the mosh pitt. Some of them get pretty rough but he enjoys them also.

I dont know if i could stand the music long enough to make it to the pitt.  Cheesy The last one that he went to he said that there was a sure enough huge guy in the mosh pitt and this guy was having fun taking everyone else out. LOL He has never been hurt in them other than a bruise or two but he has told me about him helping people off of the floor so that they dont get hurt....This is a little off subject but one of his buddies loves to crowd surf and at the last concert they were all laughing at him because he was crowd surfing and there was a bare spot in the crowd and he got dumped on his head. laugh

Learn something new everyday, I looked at the subject line and thought you must be talking about a bloodline of dog.
I am with Dinah on the whole loud, loud music thing, not my cup of tea, my favorite music is to hear the dogs bay.

LOL!  I just love it!  Grin

I'm looking forward to this weekend.  Last year we caught 14 hogs in one day.  It records onto a standard SD card.  It shouldn't be hard to figure out but then again.....I am originally from Texas.  Grin  If I was only born in Oklahoma......I'd be a genius.  LOL!

Hell yeah! we are talking about actual mosh pits? and I figured it was going to be a thread about "florida swamp bulldogs" you can't growup in Dallas with awesome bands like Pantera and not know what a good mosh pit is all about. but with all things, seems like now a days they are smaller, weaker, and not as hardcore as the ones I remember back in the 90s

I've never been in a mosh pit, and hope that I never am.  However, as a kid I would go with my older brother to concerts. He liked Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer to name a few.  I remember going to a Metallica concert after the black album was released. I was probably 12 or so, and this head banger in front of me got to banging and his long hair popped me in the eyeball... Stung like an SOB.

Once I was old enough to drive myself, if I was going to see a live band, it was gonna be Texas Country, or Chris LeDoux.   Wink

I've been in a few back in the late 80's in high school... ah, the good ol' days! Grin

I finally grew up and got back to my country roots, but Metallica's black album concert at the Summit in Houston is the best show I've ever been to. Wink

Mike,

You didn't happen to have long hair and like to bang your head did you?   If so, that might have been you that popped me in the eye at that concert. Grin
