i didnt know if this was suppose to go in general discussion or here, but i got this male dog he is 1/4 plott 1/4 catahoula 1/2 jagd but anyway he is about 1.5 yr old and his sister is turning out and i think he would to but he acts like his feet hurt, his pads look good he just walks like he is on glass or something its not just one foot its all 4, only dog i ever seen do this, hes kinda fat since he been in the kennel due to deer season so im gonna just leave him out now to loose a few pounds, but i dont know what to do about his feet, has anyone else ever seen anything like that before, he wants to get out there but he acts like he knows its gonna hurt his feet or legs

Does he limp, hold his feet up or just walk funny? Does he run?

he can run i have seen him before, but he dont, its kinda hard to explain but he kinda limps on his front feet, he walks like he is real tender footed like its misery to take another step, i have seen dogs before with their pads run off the bottom of their feet and thats what he acts like but its no way his pads hurt, so he has to ride more on the fourwheeler than be on the ground hunting because he cant keep up , i mean he hasnt covered enough ground to run the pads off, but my kennels are cement floored so his pads should be pretty tuff i didnt put him up today just gonna let him run loose and see if that might help him.

I was just wondering because one of our dogs walks funny but thats just how he walks.

Sounds to me like a trip to the vet.
Does he respond at all to you touching or squeezing his legs?--Like looking for "where it hurts", type of thing?
He may have developed bone spurs or have early arthritis---rare, but DOES happen.
