Anyone have any things that has worked in the past for a dog that has it out for another dog. Ive got a little male Jagd that doesnt like my bulldog. Bulldog wouldnt even fight back at first but after the Jagd hanging off his back caught he had enough and almost killed him. He is good with everyone else and is very submissive to females. He doesnt puff up or growl at males but will go straight catch on certain males. I was thinking about putting a muzzle on them and let them share a kennel and single dog house in this cold and rain for a couple weeks. Along with some e-treatments for the Jagd.

Fix the jagd. Some males don't tolerate other makes. Getting them fixed works sometimes. If not get rid of jagd. |

Unfortunately, some Jagds can be like that. The e-collar will probably make the Jagd fight harder. Timing is everything with an e-collar and a terrier.
One of my Jagds has a problem with one of my catch dogs, around home, but not in the woods.
If your dogs can be hunted and penned separately do it, if not get rid of one of them. It's your dog, but I wouldn't pen a Jagd that is prone to fight with anything especially a bulldog. That equals dead Jagd, and they aren't cheap.

Yea that sounds like him. He has even had other males growl at him while hunting and he just puts his nose down and heads out. At home he doesnt growl or anything but just decided to catch him a bulldog when given the chance. O well I guess I gotta sell his little butt.

i had a big 75lb bmc that had some bad dog aggression toward our pit. the pit didnt wanna fight but had no choice when the bmc would put him on the ground and start biting. we tried everything to stop the bmc from being so male dog aggressive but nothing worked. whipping, shocking, muzzle, being in a leash constantly, dog whispering, u name it and we tried it.
found 1 thing that finally worked is that we neutered him. then he was all business and not worried bout fighting anymore.

My momma has two males get in a fight underneath a truck one time... She says she just started pokin the Hot Shot underneath the truck holding the button down, and had both dogs come flying out in different directions, they never fought again, but she also said "I dunno who, what, or where I hit either, or both of them, but I know that neither one of them ever made any puppies"....  |

x2 on neutering the lil guy...it will help out if hes a younger dog but if he is over a few years of age it may not change a thing. i had a female pit that did the same thing to a female cat.... it wasn't just any dog ...just that one female and i ended up selling her to a guy with that cats sister...i explained how she was fighting the cat gyp i had and sold her pretty cheep.he took her and said she never offered to fight another dog....i don't think you have to "cull" him but i would neuter him and let the new owner know he has had it out for your bulldog. some times they do great with other dogs and just hold a grudge for one certain dog. if you decide to neuter him it will take up to two months before he gets all his testosterone build up out of his system. hope this helps! mrs.kbar(dejah)

buy a trironics collar and a apointment at the vet to snip his nuts out, he may still have enuff learned behavior from nuts that he will still need avoidance training with the collar, cheaper than a dead or injured dog and even a dog bite to your hand trying to break them up or god forbid s child if the kid got between the fighting dogs trying to stop them, good luck

like i said it works great for breakin a dog off a deer..........but take a fresh deer skin put in a barrel with a locking lid put the dog in there lock the lid tie it to the back of a truck or wheeler drag it around for a while the whoop on the barrel with a bat or pipe...do that for a couple of hours and when you get ready to take the lid off be ready to grab the dog cause he gonna wanna take off...ive seen it done to dogs that run deer bat and trust me when those dogs got back in the woods when they seen a deer they was headin the other direction......it may work with the fightin problem just get a towel for blanket rub it all over the bull dog and put it in the barrel with the jag......if that dont work cut him or cull him

It's up to you.... Most people believe in some way or another, that they need to "be the boss" around their dogs. I'm that way to a degree. My dogs know who the head honcho is, and they know they'd better quit what they're doing when I say so. But, if the dog is as aggressive as you say, your options will be much more limited than most people would think. A hot shot will just make the dogfight worse. I've seen it in action, and it didn't work worth a flip. The 2 dogs fighting thought the other dog was hurting them, and didn't have any clue there was a hotshot involved. Neuter your dog, or sell him to someone else who might be able to use him in their unique situation. I have a patterdale/jrt cross that is as dog aggressive as they get & he won't change. He'll fight until I break it up. I accept it and use him only in certain situations. I hunted him one night with a nose stapled up, because he split his nose completely in half during a dogfight in the box that night. He found and nailed a hog that night with 3 staples in the end of his nose. If I put him back in the same situation with the other dog, he'll fight again today. Just the way it is, and I accept it. He's a pain in the rear end, but he belongs to my son and he does a good job for me. I sure get a lot of funny looks carrying a 12 lb dog in one side of my box and 3 60 lb catahoulas in the other side though.....  |

if your jagd is grown and fighting hes probably not gonna quit, there a different breed than anything else, i would just try my best to seperate them and keep them away from each other cause a jagd is so gamey and gritty hes probably not gonna give up and that bulldog will probably kill him, i would not cull him for being like this

Thanks for all the advice. I have him for sale locally and have in the ad his issue with my CD. He loves to hunt with my females so I may just mix em up a little and until he sells Ill just keep them apart. When hunting they havent had an issue and my bulldog will stay away from him since he knows not to fight.
