I was seeing in anyone had pics of their dog box in their Jeep hunting rig.  Going to be picking up some conduit and need some ideas.  I think I'm going with a removable box.  Anyway, let me see what you got.

Nice, is that box on your reese hitch, its hard to tell in the pic?  I was actually looking for a box that you can put into a cj tub but that might work.  Did you build it?  If so elaborate a little more on the construction, it looks great.

I've never seen a box set up in a cj but im sure it can be done.  i built a crate for the back that slides in the receiver hitch, it will accomodate any 4 ft wide box. my box is 4 ft x 3 ft and is tall enough that my dogs can set up comfortably in. it holds 6 dogs real nice but i've put 8 in it and not had any trouble.  i used heavy duty square tubing and 1 x 1 angle iron for the back crate.  the crate will telescope in or out and fit like a 4 x 4 box or any other box 4 ft wide.  I can also unpin it and slide the box back and open the hatch on the jeep.  I built my box so i can unstrap in and throw it on a truck or trailer so its not limited to just my jeep, i added full time spring assists on the back leaf springs to help with the additional weight, i strap my box to the crate and to the rear bumper it has no wobble and is really solid. good luck with your cj
