I'll trade ya a texas hog hunt and bowfishing trip for a freedive spearfishing trip.  That if you don't mind hunting with the police.

maybe 50' right now and that is not with much bottom time.  My buddy is doing over 3:20 static holds right now.  I'm out of shape, well round is a shape.  I'm sure I'll have to invest in a more powerful gun than my Hawaiian sling. What is the best time to make a trip.

When can you get to Texas for a hog trip, I didn't get to go this weekend I was called in to cover a shift for my city but my buddy took my dog and caught 4, last sunday he and I caught 5.  Check out daiseydog's post to the what we put together.

Noah that posted a couple posts up is a big freediver. I do mostly scuba, haven't freedove in a while. I do enjoy it though. I used to have a 3:45 static. Not sure now.  I don't have much bottom stuff over here in less than 65' but there are wrecks and stuff you can chum amberjack and other fish up shallow. I don't think the hawian sling is gonna cut it though.

I don't much care for police... but because you're a freediver..... I'll let it slide Wink Grin  Water's finally warming up over here, let me know when you want to go.  10 feet to 150 feet, it's up to you.  And the polespear will definitely have to be upgraded.... You aren't afraid of sharks are you Grin

Noah,
One of these times you get down this way, let me know. I'd like to get in on one of those freediving trips. None of my friends can hold there breath, but I enjoy it.  I have a 21' mako if you wanna go on my boat.

10-4, you ever been up around Homassassa?  There's some unreal freediving up that way.... mostly gags/mango's/hogs but it's big relief bottom in less than 30'.  I've got the #'s if you feel like making the drive, my buds from Myakka might bring their boat up too!  You've got to go out 30 miles to get to 30' of water but it's worth it.  30 mile vis in 30' of water + lots of fish = fun arse freediving Grin

Haven't been there. I'd need to do a little trailer work before I tow it up there. Like the sound of it though.
