This trip started with my wife and I on friday afternoon we had gone to our deer lease to check some spots where i had putting some corn out. I had decided to bring the dogs along just in case there was some sign we might could catch one. We made a round dogs hunted out but couldent anything so we were loading up when i got a call from a buddy that  wanted to go after dark. I will be the first to tell you that i dont like hunting in the dark those black boars are hard enough to catch in the daylight. So after we loaded up and were heading out the gate my buddy had done tracked me down and talked me into going so we went by the house and got something to eat. we all met up in town and headed out to the running hog lease. We unloaded the buggys around 9pm i guess about 11pm my ole dog buddy struck one and the race was on. We never could get it to stop so i finally got my dog back it was now about around 2am we hunted until about 4:30 am didnt get on anything else so we called it a night.
We stopped by whataburger got some energy and swinehunter asked me if i wanted to go to the honey hole and hunt for a few more hours i said why not we were already loaded up so we went to his house and waited for daylight to hit. Finally the light of day was here and we could see more than 5ft infront of us.So we went to the honey hole turned my 2 dogs out and 1 of swinehunters. We found some good tracks dogs were tracking so we headed down the road and stopped the truck the dogs went about 100yds in the wood and it was on we unloaded the truck with 3 more dogs the bad boar tried to run but had to much heat on him.Me and swinehunter started to the bay he went in first note we didnt have any bulldogs all we had was pistols. So swinehunter started in the beast was hittin dogs it sounded like a war zone in there my little gpy come out with 2 cuts and layed down i heard him shoot everything was quite for a second then swinehunter was hollering he is trying to get me come help. At this point the boar had one shot with a 9mm between his eyes. I made it to swinehunter and i shot the boar in the head with my 40 cal in the head he just shook his head and whooped on the dogs some more finally i had the perfect shot and put antoher round in his ear and he hit the deck. here is some pics of big nasty.
