Hunted the TDHA Hunt for the Hungry Tournament this past weekend. We got our usual group of clowns consisting of Myself, Richard (got2catchem), Joseph (HickoryFlatBoars) and Luke. We had a good time...caught lots of bo and actually slept this year. We always have a good time and clown...talk a lot of smack to each other...but we all did our part. Dogs hunted great and we got lucky and caught some good hogs...we refer to as Bo  Big Bo Our goal was 1000 feild dressed lbs and 20 hogs. We finished with 974 lbs and 20 hogs. Missed the most in a stringer by 1 hog and left two in the feild. We always start our hunts off with a good meal at B&B Market (aka Tha Tub) in Marlin. Best eatin around!   Headed out to Richards... jacked around and loaded up. Luke in his pro pacers...thinks he can rope. The crap talking and pranks started early.  We hit a group about 5:15 and had 5 bo down by 5:45. Got a little slow from there but finished with 8 the first evening.  Let the rain pass and slept til 10 on saturday. We casted dogs in opposite directions saturday morning and had multiple bays several times. Worked out good. Caught 5 more mid day and moved places for the night hunt. Biggest Bo....about 285-300 lbs  Big momma   Caught some good bo on saturday night and decided to call it quits on number 20. Heading home we had a group of about 6 cross in front of us. Kinda funny...we all agreed to leave em for another day...my little Jagd was none too happy...we was raising hell. Headed to Halletsville for the weigh ins. Ended a fun weekend with a few bucks and some nice prizes!    Joseph, Luke, Richard, Rex  |

When you mix great dogs with a few "handlers" that know what they are doing, I reckon good things happen. Good seeing you guys this weekend and thanks a ton for the donation to the LSWDA!!

I will say that it was a good weekend. I was hoping to do well, but had no idea that we'd place 1st. I was sure glad that my boy Luke was on the team this year, he's been hunting with me since he was 16 and definitely deserved it. Congrats to all of the other teams, there were some good hogs brought in. Its always nice to meet up with friends in Halletsville and make new ones.
