How many of yall have had newbies tag along hog doggin, and they not enjoy it?

Seems to me that everyone i have taken has had a blast and got hooked. And you never see anyone post that they took some newbies and they hated it...

No body in there right mind likes being up all night, getting scratched up and bit up, in the rain and cold or in the heat of summer. But that's what I love, guess I'm not quite right, guessin I'm not the only one. Its not for everyone but I have only had a few that didn't ask to go again.

I took my cousin out for a night walk hunt in the summer time. It was really his first hunting experience, he's more of a video game type of guy.
About 1.5 miles into the walk we caught a real big sow. We let her go and started walking out, unfortunately for us, it was not the way we came in.

We ended up in some 10' paletto that was flooded with waist deep water, and some holes that you'd sink in if you didn't stay on the palmetto trunks. It was only about 100 yds or so but those palmetto heads are bad enough without the water. We had him walking a dog and I could hear him yelling at the dog to "come on", trying to keep up with us.

Another 1.5 miles back to the truck, he never complained, but he never wanted to go again.

i dont know what to think about baying lions and bears, i mean you walk for miles in rough country and when you get there you could end up getting eaten, at least  when you walk all night to catch a pig he doesnt try to turn you into diner, its kinda like those guys that scuba dive with sharks, scuba diving is fun fish are pretty but bobbing around in the ocean in a shark turd form is not how i wnat to be remembered,

Never taken anyone along that hasn't enjoyed themselves. But have envited several too scared to go. Had one along one night and I was not having fun. Could not find a pig for nothing. This guy laughed and told me he had been praying all night we didn't. Guess he was alittle scared.

I'll add my 10 cents here as one of the newbies. A co worker of mine invited me along on a hunt last month, so I went. No pigs that day, but had a lot of fun. Went out with him again 3wks ago and I got my first pig. Tagged along again last week and our group got another one. Long story short, I have already built a kennel in the yard, and am actively searching for some dogs. Heck of a lot more fun then sitting in a treestand hoping a deer walks by. Plus its a year round season up here. I am already hooked for sure.
