3-12-11 river boar

Talked some guys from down south into taking me ground hunting last night at the river.I took 2 baydogs and a catchdog and they had 5 baydogs and a catchdog. A catahoula dog named patch stole the show long range and struck this boar.                          I dont ground hunt much so me and my dogs were kinda lost, but met some good folks with some jam up ground pounding cur dogs and three litters of pups on the ground. I learned alot and had a blast. Guessed this boar weighed around 300 or so, but didnt weigh it. I only got one photo because it was so dark. Thanks

Good boar man. What river were ya on? I love hunting the rivers. Glad ya got on one again.

I know how it is having to travel to get on pigs. Maybe we should holler at toby keith he's got land on the red river I heard and maybe get uncle ted to come down. That'd be one heck of a time lol.
