I'm in the pen and my pup won't show any interest wont bark he'll jus stand there what do I do???

how old is the pup? Are there any other dogs baying the hog when you are in the pen with him?

He's three months old I had my brothers dog in there she did fine but my pup just wouldn't do anything

three months is awful young to expect him to do anything. He's just a baby still. Have some patience and let him grow up some. Too much to soon and you'll just wreck him. If it was me I'd pull the pup out, eat the pig, and come back in six months.

I agree. 3 mo is awful young to expect very much from. some pups will start barking at a hog that young but they arent quick enough to dodge a hog. even a small hog can knock them around pretty good when they are 3 months old. thats the last thing you want at that age. give him 3 or 4 months. try again. if the hog is too rough you can tie him outside the pen where he can see and hear the action. some times if you make the pig squeal it will get him excited and he will want to join in. just my opinion

Well I have the piglet in a cage and I tap on it to het him to go to it I don't want him to bay or anything I just want him to show interest to bark at it or something start gettin hum used to seeing and barking at hogs
