1997

I had always been a serious bird hunter. The first time I ever went it was worse that smoking crack for me. Within 2 weeks I had bought a 4 wheeler and a dog.

Hunted in the early and mid 90's moved to the big city and had to stop, back in the country now and back in it like drug addict. Thank God for supportive and understanding wives.

Started in 1972 I guess it was. I think I was still in college when I first went with some guys in TN. I knew the first time I heard the dogs fighting a hog that I had found what I was looking for. I had coon hunted for several years before I went hog hunting with dogs, I loved coon hunting but I always knew there was something I would like even more....and I found it. Nothing like it I say.

My daddy took me with him in the early 50s.  He carried me on his back when I couldnt keep up. Me and my brother got our own dogs in the mid 60s.
