Hello everyone, I have the GPS and 4 tracking collars waiting at home the new DC-40. I have yet to see them since I'm offshore. My concern is that it won't fit around my bulldogs neck. I see a lot of folks on here just attach it to a bulldogs vest. Has anyone had probelms with them getting hung up on fences, brush or anything like that. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I don't even know how to use it yet, cant wait to get home lol.

The DC-40 has a long strap and fits above or below my bulldogs cut collars.  I don't attach tracking collars to vests, but some of guys do.
Where are you offshore at?

I had a collar on an old Wicks unit a few years ago. The dog it was on was half bulldog and half cur dog and was gritty. We ran into a real bad hog and the hog hit the collar sending unit (lexan plastic) and broke it half in two. Saved Reds life.

I run 2 collars (telemetry & GPS) off the vest and never had a problem.

The unit can be put on a different collar. Just find a collar big enough for your dogs neck. You'll just have to burn a couple holes in it for the screws to go through.

I have part of another collar as an extension, buckle on one side and a hole on the other, makes the DC30 fit around the cut collar.
