Been workin on my new man cave for the past month. Actually the past year if you count all the time I spent cleaning up this property. This is all taking place 170 yards behind my house (according to my Garmin). Had to dig me a pond to get the dirt that I needed. Hauled pretty close to 1000 loads of dirt out of it. 150 loads went under my slab. Probly that many more for the road going back there and the rest all over the property to build it up and shed off the water. Got several ditches dug going down he side of my property and running into the pond to catch water. Put in culverts, picked up every stick, dug up every stump (the owner before me cut the timber off of it and left a big mess). They poured the slab a few weeks ago and got the red iron up this weekend. They're starting on framing up my rooms tomorow. Gunna have a 20'x40' game room with a HUGE kitchen, bar, pool table, shuffle board, reloading bench, tv, dart board, obscene posters, and neon signs. 2 bedrooms, a storage room and bathroom upstairs. In the shop I'm planning on putting a hot tub and welding machine for building hog traps, trailers, deer stands, BBQ pits, etc... Gunna have a 20' x 40' porch on the south side and a fish/deer/hawg cleaning station. Also planning on making some dog kennels in the back but I haven't gotten that far yet. Still a long ways to go but I can't wait for it to be finished. Anyone else got any man caves pics?        |

This thing is gunna be for the sole purpose of hangin' out. Anybody in my area is more than welcome to come over and build something, use the welding machine and cuttin' torch, play pool, eat some fish... As long as we go huntin' or at least share a good huntin' story.

No, but she's really tired of all my huntin' stuff being in her sewing room and me using the kitchen table as a work bench and the dogs jumping on the bed and couch.
