Only people that talk down yotas are the ones that have never driven one!!!  Shocked  Grin

I have owned several tacomas / pickups from 94 models to 03, and they are hard to beat!!!

The one I have now is a 2001 Tacoma extended cab with a 6 inch suspension lift with 35s and gets about 16 mpg....

Awesome Truck!!!

X2 on the mileage

Mike, what kind of mileage does yours get? Ive been thinking about trading mine in for a 4 door Tacoma or Tundra

Nice rig!
I have never like a red anything but I would own this rig! Toyota makes a heck of a truck and always have.

Thanks for the compliments guys.. I really like the way it came out.. I got 16 in the city before the tires, the tires are rated for 80psi but i have them at 45, i may have to bump them up a little.  It doesnt help with the MPGs that its a 4 door longbed 4x4 with a 5.7 and a heavy steel box in the back..Oh and these tires are HEAVY even the guy at the tire shop commented on that so im sure my MPGS will hurt a little  Sad

You know i thought about that.. The computer is set for stock, so the spedo is off which would make the MPG display off too.. I reset the trip computer when i filled it up last night so ill have to do some math when it reads empty..

You'll love those Nitto tires. Just keep them rotated. I have 35's on my 3/4 ton '08 ford but I'm planning on trading it for a Yota ASAP! I've had more trouble than you can imagine with it. 3 new radiators, EGR coolers, starter, sensors, power steering, and blew the motor up before 50,000 miles and I'm not even hard on it. My wife drives it to work which is less than a mile down the road. But your talking about a beast pulling something. I LOVE it when someone calls me and they're stuck. It's like it can almost walk on water.

Nice pick up...

Just talked with a mechanic and he said that the american trucks are backsliding on quality and he said that the best trucks are toyota. I was asking about the best mid sized truck and he said the tacoma 4x4 4 door was a good bet. I will keep my 1999 ford f-350 superduty for hauling and the Tacoma for hunting and fishing.

Dont know what your haulin but ive hauled 10 or so thousand with mine.. The MPG sucks doing it but it will.. The only downfall ive heard from mechanics is the frame isnt built for putting in a gooseneck so i guess its a good thiing i dont haul one anymore..  Wink
