Man, ticks are everywhere here in Alabama. Ya'll got any tricks for when you hit the thick stuff to keep em off ya? Everytime i come out of the woods, i strip down in the garage and spray my clothes with 40% deet spray, then again before i put em on to back out to woods. Then spray exposed skin with 29% deet. I know it aint healthy to spray that deet on ya all the time, but i'm in the woods or out in the kennels a big part of every day. Heck, i guess i just need to start spraying with ENDURE like i do with the dogs, it water resistant and lasts 14days, no more than i bath,,, that mite do it!

I have had great luck with a product called No Stinkin Ticks. Havent pulled a tick off of me when I actually remember to bring it along. It does the trick on chiggers too. Its kinda pricey at bout 7 bucks for a small bottle. But I'll pay it to keep ticks off of me. Instructions say something like if you spray your clothes it will last a week or two, but I spray everytime just to be sure.

Eat match heads, sulfur in them acts as a repellent. Its works pretty good.

You get the cheap matches like the ones the bar gives away. cut the heads off and swallow 4-6 likes small pills. it keeps mosquito's away too.

Put Flea and Tick collars around your boots. I work for a surveying company used to be out in the woods everyday. old man that works with us told me to do it and it worked.
