Only if you don't want your dog to smell a skunk.

I have never heard of that but I do know that you can put vicks on a female that is in heat and it will block the scent so you can hunt her with males and they will leave her alone.

Its a big myth, and the only thing it will do is irritate the dogs nose, and as far as putting it on females, thats a big myth also. It will only irritate their rear.
I do however think it works a little with the stud horses.

I don't know about a hunting dog but I'll tell you this, it sure magnifies my sense of smell. I found out the hard way. Long story short, in the police academy a former paramedic told us it would cover the stench of the autopsy room. Lying, prankin son of a gun!!! All it did was make even the strongest of stomachs sick. It made me smell a lot more than I could imagine.

My guess is that it won't help. Best thing to do is work on getting a colder nosed dog.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

Maybe some females run alil hotter than others, I tried that crap on a female pit once and all it did was give my male dog a greased up...never mind
