Talked to a couple of farmers around here the calls have been real scarce so far on hog problems in this area.  If we don't get at least a couple inches of rain in the next 7-10 days around here there is not going to be no corn to hunt.  Its that bad as dry as I have seen it in a while.  Hogs been real slow in this area.

Wind what is up with the wind.  Its been blowing here 20/30 mph for the last month are more think we might have had a day are so were it was nice .  I myself don't ever remember the wind being this bad for this long .  Its got things screwed up around here for sure.

Come on rain dang it man !

Even if it rains soon the corn crop wont be much unless its been irrigated.    I thank god most of our cow pastures have turned to bahia grass over the past 5-7 years, atleast its still trying to grow.  The coastal is burnt to a crisp.  If it does'nt turn around soon the hogs are gonna get real poor by next spring time.

We havent seen a measurable rain since early Jan in Milam county and the wind as you descibed has been relentless everyday.  Waylon it is funny you say that bahia because in my experience common bermuda is more drought resistant that bahia.  It all looks like crap though and then to top it off the dang hogs have been tearing us up.  I would love to see a 1" a week rain for about 3 months.
