I was pulling off the job yesterday and saw this critter in the detention pond running like nothing i have ever seen. it ran towards me and then stopped at the woodline for a second before going on in to the woods. The picture sucks but it was a iphone, The chupacabra was about 40-50 yards away and i got a really good look at it. It had NO hair at all from what i could see and the ears were huge along with a long snout??? Today i set up a game camera and a frozen chicken for bait tie wired to a tree. hopefully i will get a close up pic of this critter. I dont think it is a yote with mange or a mexican hairless. it ran with its ass end down low kind of like a hyena. this was on he north west side of houston {champions area} Shocked

I am being silly. I don't believe in a chupacabra but I could be wrong. Not sure what it is though. So I will go with a hairless Chihuahua crossed with a Tom Cat. Grin

I am pretty sure some critters like that were found in lufkin area to be mange coyotes. Way ugly, but who knows- mange coyotes may just be the next best thing as cosmopolitan pets. Just imagine Paris Hilton trotting up Hollywood blvd with a hairless yote on a little leash and bling collar.

Looks exactly like a coyote with mange to me. I've caught quite a few of them in traps that looked just like that.

Do yotes normally come out in populated places, during the day? I hear them all around my house at night, but have never seen or heard one during the day. I aint saying it isnt a yote, I just never seen them in the city at daytime.

I think you are going to se alot more critters coming out to get to water and food with this drought. Aleast thats why i feel I have them coming to my house more often then usuall and critters that I usually only see after dark and getting more desperate right now.

Man, aint it something how a mangy coyote looks? Like something from another world. A while back i had some camera pics of a pretty yote. A lil later, i put some corn out for my pigs, about 10 in the morning. Nice cool morning, so i climbed up my ladder stand and just had a session of outdoor therapy, listening and watchin my lil creek and such. Well, hear a splash splash, and here comes that pretty little coyote with the ugliest mangiest thing you ever saw ,, i think the mangy one mustve been the alpha, real skiddish and careful, the pretty one didnt have a care in the world.  Didnt look like the same species
