Is all it comes down to is riddick is what he is. But when he gets a hold of one its over, pretty impressive to me. Id like to see other catch dogs catch that big boar he caught even if it was in a high fence and see if they could hold it or even live after its all said and done. Like people on here say my opinion is my opinion and yours is yours to each his own. And remember its not just a story someone told we all saw him do it on national tv.

I feel safe in saying that there are tons of dogs that could and have caught hogs that big and bigger. Come to northeast Texas and I will show you a few.

I haven't seen the show at all, but take a look at the WWT books and see how many hogs are dog caught.  Somebody's catch dogs are working.

I don't care how bad to the bone any catch dog is, if you don't have a dog that will find a hog first what good is it?

I hear the same thing from people talking about cur dogs...man, he'll work a hog like crazy or he'll sure enough finish one with his bottom.  If the dog won't hunt and find one in the first place why does all that matter??

I agree, he is what he is and that don't even resemble a hogdog or anything close to what they claim..
As far as him "holding" a hog , I can tie a hog to a fence post and it will "hold" him..
And the boar hog he held in the wide open was nothing special. Catch dogs half his size do it everday..

Anyone that believes Riddick can catch a wild pig in its natural enviroment with no hogs that have been preped for National TV.
PLEASE bring him and show me I then will shutup and never question Riddick's abilities  as a ONE OUT dog.

That big dog will get cut down So bad he may never catch again.
Nothing against the breed Im sure they are great dogs,But not in the woods.

Ask yourselves this "If you were hunting by yourself and your best strike dogs were getting their as-es handed to them by a nasty boar,Would you put 100% of your faith in Riddick to do his job?

its staged! riddick is worthless   if theres too much hog scent for the dogs to track a hog then by george they ought to wind him   riddick would be a cull on my yard period  he saw a hog go into brush and he stopped at the fence!  im callin bs and cull    that hog riddick caught was probly tied to a fence b4 he caught it   or tranked or both    and that l3 woman would be culled too   shes to dramatic for hog doggin  imo  shed go b4 riddick or with him   culls!   and ure right  in real hog doggin u have to have a dog thatll find and bay a hog 4 u  but on their show they spot em b4 the dogs smell em i guess cuz i always see the hog b4 the dogs get after em  i have yet to even hear a bay on the show except from the hawaii boys   hmm and their cd caught that hog underground     we all know u have to have both  a good cur or 2 or 3 and a good cd    ive hunted alot in 2 yrs and have only seen hogs a couple of times b4 the dogs struck em  mainly boltin across the rd   but my worthless potlickin skunk findin armadillo bayin dogs went after em thru the brush and into the creek or wherever they went!  and my cd caught the hog when it was bayed   but i cant catch the armadillos  i get tired of waitin for the dogs to dig him outta his hole lol

I agree with that zaneo. I hunt the same way yal do. I have my strike dogs and help dogs and when the do there job i drop the catch dogs or lead them in depending on how far they are bayed. And the spotlight deal you are talking about is exactly the same way where i live.

I thought is was just hilarious when the couple from caldwell were talking about moving there to live but the hogs were tearing apart the foundation of the old home.
The hogs damaging the foundation would be the last of my worries.
