Everyone needs to really quite making fun of there dogs. The only reason they could not find the hogs was simply because there was TOO MUCH scent on the ground. And the dogs could not see through the thermal camera. There in training now for that.
Ps Notice everyone is making fun of there dogs not them as individuals. There dogs are humiliating to the hog hunting community. IF i was asked or trying to get my own tv show i would make dang sure i got good dogs. Even if i had to take someone along with me that had that.

@ Tcolt - I shouldn't have to justify my position but here you go; I don't make a living at hog hunting as of now but I'm working on it because that is my passion, I work an 8 hour day as an Electrical Engineer for a global engineering firm, I hold 2 patents and I own Critter Catcher Wildlife Control. You see colt when you are driven in life you don't wait for things to come to you, you go after them. I do make extra income at trapping, snaring, & running dogs for hogs but I also handle several other animals and reptiles. I work my 8 hr job then I work 5 to whatever hrs. as wildlife control, so Tcolt life is all about what you make it, if all you do is bitch and complain then you achieve nothing. I work with my county commissioner, aglife department, sheriffs department, Texas A&M, Park and Wildlife, and private land owners. I attend county meeting to discuss the feral hog problems in my county, I get my name in the right circles, that's why I'm on this forum my passion for the sport and my dedication to feral hog control. The biggest problem I see with private land holders is they let some good ol' boy run dogs then he invites a bunch of beer drinking redneck buddys that trash a place then the land owner doesn't want anybody on it, this is a problem that effects everyone that hunts for hogs. I've been doing this a long time and seen a lot of people get out and come in and it will always be that way. I do know this, only jealous and insecure people have to bad mouth others to feel better about themselves and their lack of drive.
As for looking for a place to run my dogs, you will probably see that post again sometime but not anytime soon because I've signed 2 contracts with 2 developers on large tracts of land, yes for money that means I'm getting paid for hunting feral hogs. I posted for a place so I could keep my dogs in shape and keep their noses hot that doesn't mean I didn't have places to hunt just not any big enough to run my pack.
I was asking you to justify your position, I reread my post and it may have come off a little offensive and I did not mean it that way...I was just curious.
Good for you in what your doing, I wish you good luck on your new properties and with the show you have in the works.
I definitely am not a bitcher or complainer if that was directed right at me. We do alot of things like you are, with the cities and what not, and we do get paid to for hog removal and have special permission to hunt city parks and corp of engineers property with dogs.. Im a D1 college athlete, soon to be professional athlete... I know all about going and getting what I want.

@Tcolt no problem man after a show like hogz gone wild it makes people a little defensive No harm No fail....good luck to you as well and good luck in your future endeavors.....there will come a time when charging is the norm because there won't be many large tracts at least around me, Fort Bend County is growing FAST subdivisions are popping up everywhere....there are a lot of misconception of the hog hunters, I in no way was referring to any one person but a general statement, I don't know you or any others on here to make that a personal remark.

Thats the way it already is around us, everything is developed except the lake and corps property, golf courses are the clientele right now, soon it will be neighborhoods which already have paid trappers hired.

I have 2 subdivisions like that now, I started out when they were wooded pastures and now the house are a stones throw from my traps (about 20 acres at 1 and 50 acres stretched on the other)...I have a couple of short range dogs I'll bring out there from time to time but the HOA people don't like it and call the cops everytime...they can't do anything about it except ask that I don't run dogs while their home...huh?
It's hog hunting and I'm helping them, makes no since.....city dwellers wanting more room to roam but crowding the area around me....

. HIS STYLE IS DIFFERENT, LEAVE IT AT THAT. ISNT THIS SITE FOR ALL THE HOG HUNTERS? NOT JUST FOR A CERTAIN WAY?
I've heard this from a few different prople now, Well they just have a "different style". Well what style would that be? Those dogs can BARELY manage to catch a hog in a wide open field and if it ever gets out of their sight it's over. They shine hogs in fields, see hogs in fields in the middle of the day , and pretty much trap hogs for them dogs and they still look pitiful...What style is that ? Where I come from that's not called a style, that's called a failure.. That's about like somebody building a house that falls down 2 days later and then saying well that's just my "style".
I have no problem with people having different styles of hog hunting. What I do have a problem with is L3 getting on tv and claiming to be the best of the best and having highly trained hogdogs with great noses and then looking like a bunch of buffoons. It makes all hog hunters look like clowns, I mean if that's the BEST there is then why on god's earth would ANYBODY want a dog hunter on their land? And I have a problem with them flat out lying about them dogs, just tell the truth. Any person with any common sense can see that Riddik dog has ZERO nose, ZERO Hunt and ZERO bottom, but their claims about him are very different.
And those short range dogs they were gonna use? LOL How do you get anymore short range than riddik? What do they have some dogs that won't even jump off the tailgate?

Is all it comes down to is riddick is what he is. But when he gets a hold of one its over, pretty impressive to me. Id like to see other catch dogs catch that big boar he caught even if it was in a high fence and see if they could hold it or even live after its all said and done. Like people on here say my opinion is my opinion and yours is yours to each his own. And remember its not just a story someone told we all saw him do it on national tv.
