I HAVE PUPS OUT OF BMC AND BIRD DOG . THE BMC IS MY BEST STRIKE DOG AND BIRD DOG WANT STAY OUTOF THE BAY PEN . SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY IT.

Just might work....  Wink  All of my dogs are a 1/4 to an 1/8 bird dog(English Pointer)..  I can see the eventual need to cross back on either another bird cross or straight bird to keep the level of hustle I like in my dogs.

Trick is findin' a bird dog that's built right... alot of 'em are built kinda funky to be an efficient hog dog....

I had a half english pointer half cur that started real well....i bet he would have made a hand.

If you cross it I would reccomend using german shorthair pointer or english pointer b/c that breed of bird dogs typically hunt out farther than the other others

Crow was a 1/4 EP and I really liked the dog a lot.  He had his faults but was a good little dog.  Lost him last summer at 3 so he never really got to reach his potential.  I say go for it, I would take another one like him in a heart beat.
