SOLD Male Plott/BMC alittle over a 1 1/2 years old.... Will find his own hog and is dead silent on track....No grit, will not even look at a caught hog and will roll out if more hogs are around....will not look at a hog in a pen either... no dog/human aggression at all....
His downfall is he needs work around water... he has no problem crossing water after a hog, but sometimes will not cross coming back or just going out hunting if he isnt on a track... he is getting better but needs some one on one....
He is timid at times especially around new people, and will take alitte getting used to you... but he is not hard to catch....he does not take a whoopin very well...
when i first got him, he could get long range when he wants to, mainly with another dog that will go, but is usually short to medium since thats mostly what we run... Ive never hunted him by himself, so i dont know how he would hunt/range without another dog....I would guess he would stay close until hes in fresh sign... he is still young and just doesnt have the confidence to be a one dog go getter, but he does know what hes in the woods for...
i have several references from people on here that have hunted with him and know what kind of dog he can be when he wants to... he is still young and should make a dang good dog with alittle work.... i dont have the time to really work with him like he needs...
