UNDERDOG and I took a fella named Jordan out on his first hunt last night. Jordan is a friend of the family that is from Arizona and fixing to move back out there next month. I took my Tweety dog out on her first hunt last night since being released from her ankle surgery. They hunted a block of woods, then blew out across an open pasture and came bayed about 1/2 mile out. I told Jordan not to get excited cause she probably had a skunk bayed after being couped up in the house for three months. Shocked We got a little closer and stopped to listen... Tweety, Hunter and Striker were hammering away and you could hear the hog gruntin'. Jordan's eyes lit up and the two pups headed to the bay. We drove to 300 yards and walked in. Sent the bulldogs in and Jordan got to stick him a nice sow... he wants to go again before he moves back. Grin

I had a good time and thought all the dogs did well. I think Jordan had a good time also, and it was a relatively easy hunt. Good hunt and it was nice to see Tweety in the woods again.

Thanks everyone, I'm sure glad to get her back in the woods. The vet was suprised at how much range of motion she had in her ankle. She said to hunt her "lightly" for a couple of weeks and then bring her back in for another check up. If all's good, Tweety should be ready to roll 100%.

Glad to hear Tweety is doing good Mike and I know you are happy to have her back in the wood.  Congrats on the hog too.  We are really excited over here as Ruby (Tweety's litter Mate) is bred.  I am just not sure I want to do a puppy again.  Grin

Mike,

Be cool on how you hunt her... If you have any pups to start bring her to my place. I make pretty good dogs in the end.....
