Anyone had the particulate filter delete kit installed on their 6.7 liter Cummings? If so what all did you have done and what results have you had. Did you have the egr cooler removed, cold air intake, programmer etc.. Better fuel mileage? Any problems?

Got the complete turbo back with muff 5 icnh kit, h and s egr kit, Smarty me and the truck is a pleasure to drive for the first time in 3 years, we had so much carbon inside the engine it was horrible.  The dpf plugged up right at 108k, it was cheaper to delte everything and get the smarty 67me and delte kit by $2000.  Now the truck gets about 19 mpg and no more cel and powering down on the interstate at the worst time, this truck was a lemon and was in shop about 10 times for weeks at a time.  i will never buy a new diesel again, no worth it especially with no dealerships around for 2oo miles since they went broke, chevy or ford gasoline will be my next.  I bought the compkete kit from Throbred diesel for 1200 bucks, the controller, the compkete exhaust with muffler, the s and s delete kit and the Smarty me 67, wish i had dont it years ago, drive nice now only thing is the clutch slips now on the higher settingslol  Yhe dpf was $2000 plus install itself if i went back with the junk factory egr system, toss it off n enjoy the truck....

Never had a problem with the engine only the egr cooler and exhaust system. I had all the recalls done all at the dealer and they can't fix it. It costs way to much to clean out a particulate filter which should be cleaning itself by design. Up until now it was all warranty work.

There is no pdf cleaning, they only replace them when they plug up, only place to get one is brand new from the dealer, there cost to me was $2200, then the egr was stuck, it is $400 only available from dealer, then the egr filter on top of the motor is like $250, then they charge $200 to read the factory scanner, add it all up, plus install and u get the drill, cheaper to buy the 5 inch brand new turboback exhasut with muffler, the Smarty ME67, the egr block off kit all for $1200 or so and install it your self.  The boys that help me at the ranch did it in 2 days and did not work straight on it, dont forget to tack the new exhaust with mig after you get it installed.  Tons have done this and now dont worry about the truck and it runs better and gets more milage like 3 miles per gallon more, no noise or smoke.  I keep my truck on the 30 hp setting and m trying to nurse the factory stock clutch another 10,000 miles and them i am going to get the $1200 updated clutch and fass or airdog dual fuel pump/filer with a red light /guage.  I am out of warranty and got tired of the idots who only clean or replace the egr parts over and over again and never get the truvk to run correctly, i used to get 12mpg onw its up to 18 19 mpg depending.  God Luck.

I have a 5" turbo back on mine with egt sims and pressure sim. I have not had any problems with mine at all. I am wanting the Smart so I can delete my egr, I just don't have the funds for it yet. I am waiting on my 60 horse Industrial Injection injectors. Have you checked out the Dodge Cummins Diesel forum? They have a lot of good people on there and a lot of useful info on there.

i had a 2008 4x4    had problems with exaust clog-up    went to a 4 in straight exaust      cooler delete     s and k tunner with 3 settings 90     120    150 hp      can set tire size , no shut down at 105 mph, no engine lights or warring lights, and a whole lot more , more than i ever used. with this tunner you DO NOT need to remove egr cooler but i did anyway i was told i needed to,i"m not to sure about it.... it may have been a sales pitch that worked.
made driving a whole lota fun.  had about  1600 invested included  installing cooler and exaust.  WILL VOID WARRENTY!!
increassed my mpg about 1.5 per gallon.

traded truck in 2011 went back to gas               all  converson parts listed above i have and are for sale, i had truck put back to stock before i traded it.     jim 903-563-5364

I had the clutch slippage problem with my 06 5.9 after programmer, 5" turbo back and a new turbo. I had southbend build me a clutch that would hold up to 1000hp and dont have any issuse now. The clutch comes with new flywheel, dual disks w/ intermediate plate, preassure plste, throw out bearing and arm, new master and slave cylinder. Master and slave rnt required but highly recomended. That whole clutch assy cost 1500, which was 300 more than stock and has more holding pwr. It took me 2 days of working 8-10hr days and having to go get more tools and doing it ny myself. If you do a lot of heaby pulling, its worth the money and all clutch psrts are warrentied for the life of them with free replacment.

I had 4 fords starting in 97 and they all had the powerjoke in them and I loved them. Then I got an 04 with the 6.0 powerjoke in it and I had nothing but problems out of it. Then I got an 05 Dodge with a 5.9 Cummins in it and it pulled better than any of the Fords I had. I got an 07 with the 6.7 Cummins and it pulls better than my 5.9 it just don't do as good on fuel. I think Dodge gas rigs are junk but I love the Cummins.
