Just started feeding it and I like it so far. Stool is solid and not much of it. I had a pup that I couldnt put weight on and she is looking 100% better after I started feeding this.

I used to feed it all the time! It was real good feed! My uncle sold it so I bought from him his feed store shut down so I swapped! He would sale around 2 tons a week to game dog breeders so they must have liked it! Now this was 4 years ago!

I can get it for $21.48 a bag. The Victor keeps going up and up... we're almost paying that now for 40# sacks. At dealer costs!!!

I hate to switch, but if they keep having price increases... Victor is gonna lose a ton of business.

Damn!  Last year it was $16.67/40#  now $21.48/40

By contrast, the horse feed I am feeding was $14.15/40 and has only recently gone to $15.00/40

I realize they have different ingredients, but they all like to blame fuel as the reason for increases. Looking at the above increases, I don't think the fuel is as influential as they want you to believe.

Heck, even at $20.30 that's a 22% increase in a years time.  My other feed has only gone up 6% in the same time frame.

Glad I cut way back on dogs now.   I can't imagine the guys with a bunch of young pups and dogs getting started. Between that and the fuel to hunt them, I would have to take out a second mortgage, or become a CNC programmer. Grin

I still feed the Sportsmix for $25 55# but I am always looking for a cheaper quality alternative.  Seems like .41-.45 per pound is the going rate.

I bought my first bag of the Nutrena River Run feed this past weekend. I have been feeding the black bag of Black Gold, and like it, but I have to drive 45-60 minutes to get it...one way. Plus two bags of Black Gold now cost me over $62.00 So I am trying the River Run. I can get it locally and its cheaper than Black Gold. I don't hunt much in the summertime, but will see how the dogs do on it.

When you have 11 head of dogs, you need to look at where your feed bill is going......and mine has been steadily going up....

Heck a 50 lb bag of whole corn is $11.29 here. Last year it was $5.99.............made me cut back on hogs I had at the house.......

Wait!! Was that the missing cward I saw a post by?Huh?? Grin
