Shawn, Chris, Isiah and I made a hunt monday morning and were hoping to get out of the woods before it got over 100 degrees but that didn't happen.. Dogs ended up baying in the middle of about the worst place they could at 299 yards in.. We finally got within about 50 yards of them and it was so thick the hog had HT and Rain backed WAY up and I don't think they wanted to be there anymore than I did... We sent Lop and a brother of Sue and I was glad to have them both on this trip...We got him throwed and took about a 30 minute break to try and cool down before we headed back. I've never looked more forward to seeing the river in my whole life and when we made it back we just walked right off into it and stayed there for a while .. It never felt better...

Nice hog Matt. Thanks for the info, I'll record that in my journal. Glad to see Shawn isn't afraid to touch the hogs like you.  Wink

On a serious note, those hot muggy hunts are a real bear on the body ain't they. You always feel like you could drink the river down 2 foot if given the chance. I solute you for getting it done this time of year.

Woods look a lot like the woods along the St. Johns river here in Florida.  I'm going to PM you a name to look into.
