We were all just sitting around the table talking about how we would like a nice tropical depression! Shocked

We have 3" cracks in the pastures around here. I think we could have  5" of rain and not have any runoff. Sure hope we can get some of the forecasted rain.

I hope we get some next week. I heard this morning that they banned fireworks for the 4th in my county. They say we're at a 742 drought index and will be at 750 in a few days... the worst ever in recorded history.

I'm not sure how they measure it? Just what I heard on the local radio station.

I wish you Texas folks would share some rain , and hogs. Louisiana is short of both around where I live.

its used to measure heat to moisture i believe. its done by dividing actual precipitation by normal precipitation

We got a good rain the other night, rained most of the night. Got another one yesterday....and a good shower today. It's cooled off now to 66 outside.....wish I could go in the morning, but I'm on duty, it's gonna be a really nice morning to hunt I think. Hope you all that ares so dry get some of this.....good luck.
